Are you a true Gilmore Girls fan? Take the quiz!

You know how sometimes you find something you love and you don't want to share it with anyone because they're just not worthy? And then if by chance you find someone else who also loves it you are instantly bonded? And perhaps if you like a person enough you might recommend they also check out the thing you love, and if they're even responsible enough you'll let them borrow yours.

I was always that way with my Aunt Darla. She's mine, get away from her. No she cannot do your make up, she's mine.

I was that way with my best friend Mallory when I changed high schools and she started making different friends. (But none as wonderful as her always bestie: me).

Currently, I am feeling that way with Gilmore Girls.

Before you call me a crazy person (which I obviously am, no lie) just hear me out.

I can't remember the first time I watched Gilmore Girls but I know I loved it immediately. Over the course of several holidays I slowly collected each and every season while the show was still on the air. In fact, at one point I owned two sets of the complete series.

When I went to college, all 7 seasons came with me and they were always on in the background of whatever I was doing. I didn't need to watch them, I'd seen them enough to know what was happening just by listening. Stars Hollow was my home away from home. Somewhere I could always take with me when I felt homesick.

I started finding more creative ways to watch it, not wanting to rewatch in the same order. I'd watch from start to finish, then finish to start. Most recently I'd draw a number out of bucket for what season I should watch, and then out of a second bucket for which episode in that season.

Yes. I actually went through the effort of writing out little numbers solely for this purpose. And then I started writing trivia questions. Questions that honestly only me and my friends could answer because who else was crazy enough to know the show as much as we did?

My little sister and I actually had a game. We'd ask each other questions and if you could stump the other person, you got a point. We'd play like first one to 15 points wins, but the game would go on for hours because it was really hard to stump each other.

Then Netflix goes and announces that Gilmore Girls is coming their way and suddenly the entire world is similarly obsessed. Everyday there is a new Buzzfeed article on my newfeed with the headline mentioning Gilmore Girls something or the other. And I'm starting to feel a tad like I did with my Aunt Darla, "No you cannot watch Gilmore Girls, you're not good enough, it's mine, get away."

Okay, so this probably didn't dampen your desire to call me a crazy person. I know I am. Let's just get it out there. But I also know that there are other people out there equally as crazy as me.

So you can say your a Gilmore Girls fan, and that's great and all. But answer the following questions and we'll see who the true fans are.

These aren't cheap questions about random actors and history of the set or writer, these are all about the content of the show. No cheating! I'll post the answers in the first comment. Don't look until after you've given it your best shot! Then tell me how you did in the comments below. Give yourself 1 point for each one you got right and 2 points for the bonus.

Then you can show this post to your friends and make fun of me for how crazy I am. I don't mind.

  1. Answers: 1.Mick 2. Her alarm clock didn't purr on time. 3. Rory was talking about how many beauty products she's accumulated as she packed them for Yale while Lorelai was upstairs getting ready and said it used to be a dab of copper tone and bing bang boom you're out the door. All Lorelai heard was copper and boom. 4. Rory's dress made a pass at her. 5. Al from Al's pancake world, Mr. Twickham, Lane's dad, Kirk's mom. 6. Andrew. 7. Moby Dick. 8. His tiny TV he was watching in the diner while Jess was up in his apartment. 9. At a strip club for his bachelor party. 10. "Aren't we hooked on Phonics?" 11. At the bid a basket festival. 12. Narcolepsy boy. 13. Purple and black. 14. Shoes. 15. Kirk. Bonus: Lorelai's lemon lamp.

  2. Sorry, my first had a typo
001 What was Kirk's name in the second episode before he was actually the repeat character, Kirk?
    Mick/Mickey (I can't decide)

002 Why was Lorelai late on Rory's first day at Chilton? she bought a new fuzzy alarm clock that was supposed to purr (but alas, it did not purr and wake her up)

003 Why does Lorelai shout Copper Boom as she's getting Rory moved in at Yale? (Be specific) because while they were packing Rory's belongings for Yale at home, Rory was muttering to herself about how much stuff they had and commenting on rampant consumerism. She said something about getting ready "a dab of coppertone…and bing bam boom, out the door." or something to that effect. Lorelai, while upstairs missed everything in between Copper Boom--so it turns into a catch phrase

004 How did Lorelai hurt her back the night of Rory's dance at Chilton? She was putting finishing touches on Rory's dress when the mannequin "made a pass at her" and she pulled a muscle

005 Name 4 characters that are talked about but you never see.
