So now you're wondering what in the world this adventure is that I keep going on and on about. Obviously I must have some sort of adventure planned or else I wouldn't even be bringing this up.
Well how about this. I'll let you guess...here are your clues:
1.
2.
3.
4.
Got it figured out? If you guessed that we're going to take palm tree seeds buried in cups of sand with us in our golf cart as we drive into the bottom of the ocean where we will proceed to plant said palm tree seeds that were being kept safe in the cups of sand and hope that they grow tall enough to grow out of the ocean and the fish will want to climb up like a fishy version of Jack and the Bean Stalk...then you're absolutely retarded. Seriously...that is the dumbest thing I've ever heard of.
In actuality Chris and I are packing up our few belongings and moving out of the state far, far away. Where you ask?
Woohoo!!! I'm so excited. So now for the details (cause I bet you're still wondering about the golf cart.
Sometime in early February Chris' cousin Blake mentioned that the bus company that he works for here in Utah is expanding to Hawaii and he's sending Blake out to head the whole thing. That brief mention turned into Blake asking us if we'd like to go with them and Chris could drive buses. That turned into instead living on Oahu and driving shuttles for people on the beach. Said shuttles will be most likely in golf carts or Jeeps.
I'll be driving the shuttles (part time) and Chris will be assisting Blake who is managing the company (full time).
Despite that fact that it is Hawaii, it was still a tough decision to make. I can't transfer to BYU Hawaii since I have too many credits and they don't have a communications program anyway. Like I mentioned before, school is an important adventure that I intend to finish. However, at a further look into everything, if I can find an internship in Hawaii, I should be good to go.
So I am currently in the process of contacting news stations in Hawaii to find out if anyone wants a cute little BYU intern.
We leave Utah sometime towards the end of June/beginning of July and we'll be there until April 2013 when I will come back to Georgia for my BFF's wedding!
The best news is that Chris ran all the numbers and we're going to be saving quite a chunk of change while we're there, which is pretty surprising considering how much higher the cost of living is in Hawaii.
So why not take the opportunity to live in Hawaii for a little less than a year? We're young, we don't have kids, we don't have very much stuff, there is really no reason not to go.
So there you have it my good fellows. That is our big and exiting news. We would love for you to come visit us!
You know, Chris and I never had a honeymoon. Instead we just live in places where normal people go on honeymoons (DisneyWorld, Hawaii). I wonder where we'll end up next!
UM AWESOME!!!! What an amazing adventure! I applaud your decision and have a BLAST in Hawaii :) Though you will be sorely missed hurr in Yewtaw
